Privacy Policy
Effective March 31, 2026Overview
Water Tracker is designed with your privacy in mind. Your data is stored on your device and synced through Apple's iCloud service. We do not operate servers, collect analytics, or share your information with third parties.
Data Storage
All data — including your water intake entries, goals, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, your data syncs across your Apple devices through Apple's CloudKit infrastructure. We have no access to this data.
Apple HealthKit
If you choose to enable HealthKit integration, Water Tracker can write your hydration data to Apple Health. This is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission. HealthKit data is governed by Apple's privacy policies and is never shared with us or any third party.
Data Collection
Water Tracker does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. Specifically:
- No analytics or tracking SDKs are used
- No personal information is sent to us or third parties
- No advertising frameworks are included
- No account creation is required
Notifications
Water Tracker may send local notifications to remind you to drink water. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external server communication.
Third-Party Services
Water Tracker does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or frameworks beyond Apple's own platform frameworks. Your data never leaves Apple's ecosystem.
Children's Privacy
Water Tracker is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
