Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use bang shortcuts?

Type a bang prefix followed by your query in Safari's address bar. For example, type "!g climate change" to search Google, or "!w photosynthesis" to go straight to Wikipedia.

How do I create a custom rule?

Open the FrogSearch app, go to the rules section, and tap Add Rule. You can set conditions (URL contains, starts with, matches regex) and actions (redirect, replace, block) with AND/OR/NOT boolean logic.

Does it work on both iPhone and Mac?

Yes — FrogSearch works as a Safari extension on both iOS and macOS. Your rules sync across devices via iCloud.

How do I enable the extension?

On iOS, go to Settings > Safari > Extensions and enable FrogSearch. On macOS, go to Safari > Settings > Extensions.

Are my searches private?

Yes — all URL processing happens locally on your device. No search queries or browsing data are sent to any external server.
